Stella is a precious little girl and a true ray of sunshine. Recently, her mom noticed that Stella’s stomach was protruding and could feel a mass. After being evaluated by doctors, Stella was diagnosed with a Wilms tumor.

Stella has already endured a major surgery to remove the tumor and one of her kidneys. The tumor weighed nearly 2 pounds. Doctors also removed lymph nodes for testing, and Stella’s family is now waiting on pathology results that will help determine the next steps in her treatment.

Stella will need chemotherapy and may also need radiation and additional surgery, including the possibility of a procedure involving her lung. Doctors are also evaluating a birthmark on Stella’s face and related findings on the right side of her body, adding even more uncertainty to an already overwhelming journey.
